Amazing turn out last week for the 2026 Global Conference “Where do we grow from here? Environmental Justice and the Politics of Hope in the Planetary Age” hosted by the Center for Environmental Justice at CSU. It was a lot of work to organize and host (I was part of the team, not the lead), but I left feeling inspired and energized by the important work of folks who showed up to engage the moment!
At the conference, I presented a recent article co-authored with Fernando Galeana Rodriguez published in the Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic Studies Journal: “Anti-colonial environmental justice in, of, and from Abya Yala”. The article introduces a special issue that we coordinated focus on contemporary environmental justice movements and scholarship.
