What this site collects.
Very little. This is a static research site, not a product. Here is the whole picture.
No tracking
There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts, and no cookies set by this site. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or share anything about you, because we do not collect anything about you.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser user agent, and the pages requested. These are Netlify's records, retained under their policy, and we use them only in aggregate to understand whether the site is working. See Netlify's privacy policy.
Fonts
Typefaces are served from this site itself, so loading a page here does not make a request to Google. It makes no request to any other company either: the pages on this site load nothing from anywhere else.
The contact form
If you use the form on the About page, what you type is delivered to us through Netlify Forms and stored in the site's Netlify account. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. Ask us to delete a submission and we will. If you would prefer to avoid the form entirely, email joel.correia@colostate.edu directly.
Links out
This site links to journals, publishers, funders, university pages, and social platforms. Once you follow a link you are subject to that site's practices, not ours.
Research data
Nothing on this site is a route into our research data. Data generated through our projects is governed by the agreements we hold with the communities and institutions we work with — including, where partners have required it, explicit provisions on Indigenous data sovereignty. Those agreements are separate from this website and are not affected by it.
